Role- Production Planning and Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for component manufacturing, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies aligned with program milestones and customer delivery requirements.
• Translate Master Production Schedules (MPS) into Material Requirements Planning (MRP) runs; monitor and action exception messages, reschedule recommendations, and shortage alerts.
• Manage work order creation, release, and closure within the SAP system, ensuring accurate routing, BOM references, and work centre assignments.
• Coordinate capacity planning activities, identify bottlenecks, and work with operations leadership to resolve conflicts across work centres.
• Maintain and update production schedules in response to engineering changes, material shortages, machine downtime, and customer change requests.
• Liaise with procurement and supply chain teams to expedite critical materials, manage supplier lead times, and communicate short-term demand changes.
• Coordinate with engineering and quality on non-conformance dispositions, engineering change orders (ECOs), and first-article inspection scheduling.
• Generate and distribute production performance reports (schedule attainment, WIP aging, on-time delivery) using ERP and BI reporting tools.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by developing initial production plans, identifying long-lead items, and building ramp-up schedules.
• Strong understanding of BOM structures, routings, work orders, and shop floor control concepts.
• Strong verb-al and written communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
