BHSEL is currently seeking a skilled Production Planning & Control (PPC) Specialist to join our team in the defense and aerospace manufacturing sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production planning, scheduling, and inventory control within highly regulated industries. As a PPC Specialist, you will play a critical role in optimizing production processes, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure alignment of production schedules with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze production capacity and resource availability to identify constraints and optimize production workflows.
  • Monitor and track production progress, identify potential bottlenecks or delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to manage inventory levels, procurement schedules, and production orders.
  • Generate reports and metrics to evaluate production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate design changes, new product introductions, and process improvements into production plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations), in all production planning activities.
  • Continuously assess and optimize production processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Provide training and support to production teams on best practices for production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering(Mechanical/Aeronautical preferably), operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning and control within the defense or aerospace manufacturing industries is added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning methodologies, including MRP, MPS (Master Production Scheduling), and JIT (Just-in-Time) principles.
  • Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Note : Only Manufacturing sector experienced persons should apply.

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience in Defense and Aerospace company is mandatory
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
