Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Production Merchant at our facility in Gurugram, India. The Production Merchant will oversee the production process, coordinate between various departments, and ensure quality standards are met. Duties include order management, vendor communication, production monitoring, and adhering to timelines for delivery. The role requires collaboration with design and quality teams, tracking procurement, and streamlining manufacturing workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge in production planning, workflow coordination, and time management in a manufacturing environment
- Vendor and supplier management skills with the ability to negotiate and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Proficiency in quality control, garment specifications, and industry compliance standards
- Experience in budget management and cost optimization during production cycles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and clients
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with leather and woven garment production processes is a significant advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion, or a related field; prior experience in garment manufacturing or production roles preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software is a plus
