Job Summary
The Production Merchandiser will be responsible for coordinating with internal production teams and external vendors to ensure timely execution of orders as per buyer requirements. The role involves monitoring production timelines, managing order follow-ups, and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the production cycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order Coordination
Receive order details and coordinate with the merchandising and production teams for execution.
Prepare order sheets and track order quantities, styles, and delivery timelines.
2. Production Follow-Up
Monitor production progress across cutting, stitching, embroidery, finishing, and packing departments.
Ensure production is completed according to planned timelines.
Regularly follow up with production teams to avoid delays.
3. Sampling & Development
Coordinate with the sampling team for sample development and approvals.
Ensure samples match buyer specifications before bulk production.
4. Vendor & Department Coordination
Coordinate with embroidery, printing, washing, and other external vendors.
Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth workflow.
5. Quality Monitoring
Ensure production follows required quality standards.
Coordinate with the quality control team during inspections.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain production reports, order tracking sheets, and buyer requirements.
Update Excel trackers for production status and shipment timelines.
7. Shipment Follow-Up
Ensure orders are completed before shipment deadlines.
Coordinate with dispatch/logistics teams for timely delivery.
Required Skills
Strong coordination and communication skills
Good knowledge of garment production processes
Strong follow-up and problem-solving ability
Proficiency in MS Excel and production tracking sheets
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Qualification
Graduate / Diploma in Fashion, Textile, or Merchandising
Experience
2–4 years of experience in garment manufacturing/export house.
