Role Description The Production Manager in sterile injection manufacturing is a full-time, on-site role based in Aurangabad. This position oversees day-to-day production operations for sterile injectable products, including planning, organizing, and monitoring manufacturing activities to meet quality, safety, and output targets. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams such as quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain to ensure smooth batch execution, timely resolution of production issues, and adherence to regulatory and GMP requirements. The Production Manager is responsible for supervising and mentoring production staff, optimizing resource utilization, implementing standard operating procedures, and supporting validation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also requires maintaining detailed production documentation, monitoring environmental and aseptic conditions, and ensuring that equipment and processes remain compliant and efficient.
Qualifications
- Strong background in sterile injectable manufacturing operations, including aseptic processing, cleanroom practices, and batch production management.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory guidelines (e.g., WHO, EU, USFDA), and quality systems relevant to sterile pharmaceuticals.
- Experience in production planning, resource allocation, and line balancing for high-volume injectable manufacturing.
- Ability to lead and develop production teams, with skills in supervision, training, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in documentation, SOP implementation, deviation handling, and participation in internal and external audits.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment for sterile injectables (e.g., filling lines, lyophilizers, sterilizers) and basic troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a structured, regulated environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
- Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech injectable facility, preferably in a supervisory or managerial production role.
