We are hiring Production Manager - Edible Oil in Birgunj, Nepal from India!
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Production / Plant Manager to lead operations at our Edible Oil Refinery and Crushing facility. The candidate must have prior experience in edible oil processing and will be responsible for production targets, plant uptime, and utility management.
Core Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Operations
- Plan and execute daily/monthly production schedules to meet volume targets for Sunflower, Soybean, Palm Oil, Mustard Crushing, and Vanaspati.
- Monitor production processes continuously; adjust schedules and resources as required to meet market demand.
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and logistics to ensure timely availability of raw materials and smooth dispatch of finished goods.
- Prepare periodic production and performance reports (MIS) for management review.
2. Plant Maintenance & Equipment Health
- Maintain and supervise production equipment, including pumps, conveyors, and packing lines (Tin/Jar/Pouch).
- Reduce machine downtime through strict Preventive Maintenance planning and rapid breakdown resolution.
- Manage Utility Systems: Oversee Husk-fired Boilers, Steam generation, and Water Treatment (RO/DM) to ensure uninterrupted supply.
3. Quality, Cost & Safety
- Ensure timely production while strictly adhering to quality assurance parameters and process control systems.
- Optimize operational costs by managing the consumption of power, fuel, chemicals, and reducing material wastage.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory guidelines (Factory Act, Food Safety).
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise production workforce performance; ensure discipline and hygiene across the shop floor.
- Conduct training and development sessions for operators and supervisors to improve skill levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant productivity and efficiency.
Experience & Skills Required
- Industry Experience: 10+ years in Manufacturing, with mandatory experience in Edible Oil Refining / Vanaspati / Crushing.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Process house, ETP, Utility Management (Boilers), Process Engineering and Filling Machinery.
- Key Skills: Preventive Maintenance, Team Leadership, Process Optimization, and Breakdown Troubleshooting.
