JD for Production Supervisor
- Supervise day-to-day production activities in CNC and VMC machining sections.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per production planning schedules.
- Monitor machine loading, cycle time, setup time, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and tooling.
- Ensure components are produced as per drawing specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspection and corrective actions.
- Supervise day-to-day production activities in CNC and VMC machining sections.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap levels and implement reduction measures.
- Allocate jobs and shifts based on production priorities.
- Train operators on machine handling, safety, quality, and productivity improvement.
- Maintain discipline and motivate team members for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with maintenance department.
- Monitor machine health and report breakdowns promptly.
- Ensure proper tool management and tool life monitoring.
- Minimize machine downtime and setup losses.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and use of PPE.
- Maintain clean and organized shop floor following 5S practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintain daily production reports, rejection reports, and machine utilization records.
- Update production status to management regularly.
- Maintain shift handover records and process documentation.
Required Qualification
- Diploma / bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in CNC/VMC machining operations and supervision.
- Experience in automotive, engineering, or precision machining industry preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC and VMC machine operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and process optimization.
- Understanding of quality inspection instruments.
- Leadership and manpower handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ERP/MIS reporting.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of Fanuc & Siemens controller.
