Role Overview
Tej Control Systems Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Operations / Production Manager who will be responsible for manufacturing planning, shop-floor execution, and cross-functional coordination for control panel projects. The role requires strong technical understanding of electrical control panels, production scheduling, and the ability to coordinate with Engineering, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Logistics, and Site Teams to ensure projects are delivered on time with high quality standards. The candidate will act as the process owner for manufacturing execution, ensuring that project commitments are translated into structured production plans and executed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Lead project kick-off meetings with Engineering, Sales, Purchase, Production, and Quality teams.
- Review and validate drawings, BOM, delivery commitments, and production feasibility.
- Prepare project-wise manufacturing schedules including:
- Panel fabrication & assembly schedules
- QC inspection timelines
- Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) schedules
- Dispatch timelines
- Ensure 85–90% material readiness before production start.
- Align engineering releases with procurement lead times.
2. Production Execution & Shop Floor Management
- Monitor daily production progress against approved manufacturing plans.
- Resolve production bottlenecks related to materials, manpower, machines, or priorities.
- Coordinate with shop-floor supervisors for job allocation and workflow optimization.
- Ensure timely completion of internal testing, FAT preparation, and dispatch readiness.
3. Interdepartmental Coordination
- Act as the central coordination point between:
- Engineering (drawings & revisions)
- Purchase & Stores (material availability)
- Quality Control (inspection)
- Logistics & Dispatch
- Conduct daily production review meetings and weekly progress reviews with management.
4. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure quality inspections are conducted at all manufacturing stages.
- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with internal teams and customers.
- Ensure adherence to ISO processes, documentation, and SOP compliance.
5. Reporting & Risk Management
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly production dashboards to management.
- Proactively identify and escalate risks such as:
- Material delays
- Drawing approvals
- Production overload
- Project schedule conflicts
6. Process Improvement & Productivity
- Analyze production delays, rework data, and manpower utilization.
- Drive initiatives for:
- Cycle time reduction
- Improved production efficiency
- Reduction in rework and wastage
- Better resource planning
