Roles & Responsibilities:
Production Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure smooth manufacturing operations for API and Intermediates.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within defined timelines while maintaining stringent quality standards.
- Monitor batch manufacturing activities, ensuring strict adherence to approved procedures and process parameters.
- Coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments including QA, QC, Warehouse, and Engineering to optimize workflows.
- Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, materials, and equipment efficiency to maximize output.
- Ensure proper shift planning and workforce allocation to maintain continuous and efficient operations.
GMP & Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor and maintain data integrity practices across all production processes and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, fostering a culture of safety.
- Investigate production deviations thoroughly, identify root causes, and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Participate actively in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing findings.
- Maintain accurate and complete production documentation, including Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and logbooks, ensuring data integrity.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all relevant regulatory guidelines.
Team Management & Development
- Support employee engagement initiatives to build a positive and productive work environment.
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and operational excellence within the production department.
- Evaluate team performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance for professional development.
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions on SOPs, GMP, safety practices, and new process implementations.
- Lead, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a high-performance team environment.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across all production operations without compromising quality.
- Assist in scale-up and validation activities for new products and processes.
- Analyze production data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to management for informed decision-making.
- Monitor equipment performance, coordinate maintenance schedules, and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in API manufacturing.
Safety & EHS Compliance
- Maintain accurate safety records and track the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in emergency response planning and incident investigations, implementing corrective measures.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials according to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and promote safe work practices among all production personnel.
- Ensure full compliance with all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and company policies.
