Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Manager role located in Mumbai. The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations, including planning production schedules, allocating resources, and ensuring that targets are met on time and within quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising production staff, monitoring equipment performance, coordinating with maintenance teams, and enforcing safety and hygiene protocols in line with food industry regulations. The role involves tracking production metrics, optimizing processes to reduce waste and downtime, and collaborating with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure smooth end-to-end operations. The Production Manager will also support new product trials, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in production or manufacturing management, preferably in the food, beverage, or FMCG sector.
- Strong skills in production planning, workflow optimization, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI or equivalent).
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate on-site production teams with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Competence in using production or inventory management software and basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with cross-functional teams and reporting to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related field; relevant diplomas with significant experience will also be considered.
- Willingness to work fully on-site in Mumbai and manage shift-based operations if required.
