Role Description The Production Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Himatnagar, Gujarat. This role oversees day-to-day production operations for dialysis consumables, ensuring that manufacturing schedules, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently met. Responsibilities include planning and organizing production activities, managing production teams and shift schedules, monitoring equipment performance, and coordinating with maintenance to minimize downtime. The Production Manager will implement and improve standard operating procedures, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate closely with quality assurance, supply chain, and R&D teams. This role also involves tracking production metrics, optimizing resource utilization, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting audits and inspections relevant to medical device and healthcare manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Strong production management skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing operations in a regulated environment.
- Experience in quality assurance and compliance, with familiarity in medical device or pharmaceutical standards (e.g., ISO, GMP) and documentation practices.
- Leadership and people-management abilities, including team supervision, performance management, training, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Operational excellence and continuous improvement skills, such as process optimization, root cause analysis, and use of lean or Six Sigma methods.
- Technical understanding of manufacturing equipment, materials, and processes relevant to medical consumables or healthcare products.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in using production data and reports to guide actions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and auditors.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, production management, or a related field; advanced qualifications or certifications in operations or quality are an advantage.
- Prior experience in healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly desirable.
