Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations at Renuka Devi Food Products Pvt Ltd (Curry Life). The role includes planning and scheduling production to meet order requirements, monitoring output and quality standards, and ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations. The Production Manager will manage and train production staff, coordinate with procurement and inventory teams for raw materials and packaging, and optimize processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency. The role also involves supervising equipment maintenance, maintaining production documentation and reports, and collaborating with management on capacity planning, new product trials, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong production planning and operations management skills, with experience in supervising teams in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and quality control processes, including familiarity with relevant certifications and regulatory requirements.
- Process optimization and problem-solving abilities, with experience in improving throughput, reducing wastage, and implementing standard operating procedures.
- Inventory and resource management skills, including coordination of raw material procurement, stock monitoring, and equipment utilization.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train staff, enforce safety practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort with basic production data analysis, reporting, and use of Excel or production management software for tracking KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Technology, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in frozen food, ready-to-fry products, or B2B food manufacturing
