Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, responsible for overseeing daily production operations of solar dryers and related food processing activities. The role includes planning and scheduling production, managing resources, and ensuring that output meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The Production Manager will coordinate with procurement, engineering, and quality teams, monitor equipment performance, and implement process improvements to optimize throughput and reduce waste. This position also involves leading and training production staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements, and preparing regular reports on production metrics and inventory. The Production Manager will support scaling operations to meet growing demand while aligning with RSFP’s mission of sustainable, farmer-centric food solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong production and operations management skills, including planning, scheduling, workflow optimization, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance, preferably in food processing, agro-tech, or allied industries.
- Experience with quality control and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI, or similar frameworks), and adherence to regulatory compliance.
- Team leadership and people management capabilities, including training, performance supervision, and fostering a safe, inclusive work environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for monitoring production KPIs, managing inventory, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related field; relevant diploma with strong experience may also be considered.
- Prior experience as a Production Manager or in a similar supervisory role in manufacturing or food processing is highly beneficial.
