Role Description (Execution-Focused)This is a full-time, on-site role for a Production Manager based in Jalandhar.
The role is responsible for end-to-end shop floor execution across the wrench manufacturing processes, including forging, machining, heat treatment, polishing, plating, and assembly.
Key responsibilities include:
• Driving daily production output as per plan (PPC alignment)
• Controlling rework, rejection, and in-process quality issues
• Ensuring strict adherence to process parameters and SOPs across all stages
• Managing manpower planning, shift execution, and line balancing
• Monitoring cycle times, machine utilisation, and bottlenecks
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce cost
• Coordinating with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, and Dispatch teams for seamless operations
• Enforcing discipline, safety, and accountability on the shopfloor
This is a high-ownership role requiring a strong presence on the floor—not just reporting from the office.

Qualifications (Aligned to Real Shopfloor Needs)Core Experience:
• 10+ years in hand tools / forged components/wrench manufacturing
• Strong understanding of forging → machining → polishing → plating workflows
• Proven track record in reducing rejection, rework, and process inefficiencies
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of broaching, grinding, CNC/VMC, and SPM operations
• Exposure to heat treatment cycles and surface finishing processes
• Understanding of electroplating (nickel-chrome) and finishing quality standards
• Familiarity with torque testing, hardness testing, dimensional control, and PDI systems
Operational Strength:
• Strong grip on production planning, line balancing, and manpower utilisation
• Ability to manage high-volume production with tight delivery timelines
• Data-driven approach using MIS, SAP, or production tracking systems
Leadership:
• Team handling across multiple departments and shifts
• Ability to drive discipline and execution under pressure
• Hands-on problem solver—not dependent on reports alone
Basic Requirements:
• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
