Role Description The Production Manager role at Mahindra Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production plans are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, allocating resources, supervising and mentoring production teams, and coordinating with procurement, maintenance, and quality departments to minimize downtime and optimize output. The role also involves monitoring key performance indicators, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and supporting cost-control measures. The Production Manager will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational excellence and support Mahindra’s broader business and ESG goals.
Qualifications
- Strong production and operations management skills, including experience in scheduling, resource planning, and workflow optimization.
- Demonstrated ability in team leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, process improvement methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma), and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using production-related software, data analysis tools, and reporting systems to monitor performance and drive decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, production management, industrial engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Experience in large-scale manufacturing or automotive/industrial sectors, preferably within a multinational or multi-plant organization.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
