Role Description The Production Manager role at I K HANDICRAFT is a full-time, on-site position based in Moradabad. The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations, including planning production schedules, allocating resources, and coordinating workflows across teams to meet quality and delivery targets. This role will monitor product quality, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and company standards. The Production Manager will collaborate closely with design, procurement, and logistics teams to manage inventory, resolve production issues, and maintain cost-effective operations. Additional responsibilities include supervising staff, tracking performance metrics, preparing reports for management, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the production unit.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in production management or factory operations, preferably in handicrafts, home décor, or related manufacturing sectors.
- Strong skills in production planning, workflow coordination, and resource allocation to meet volume, quality, and timeline targets.
- Ability to implement and maintain quality control processes, with attention to detail for design accuracy, finish, and craftsmanship.
- Competence in team leadership, including supervising staff, resolving conflicts, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain and inventory management, including coordination with procurement and logistics for materials and dispatch.
- Proficiency with production reporting, record-keeping, and use of standard office software or ERP tools to track output and efficiency.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design, sales, and management teams.
- Ability to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Relevant diploma or degree in production management, industrial engineering, operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in an on-site manufacturing environment in Moradabad or similar industrial clusters will be an advantage.
