Role Description The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met. This role involves planning and scheduling production activities, managing shop-floor resources, supervising teams, and coordinating with quality, maintenance, planning, and supply chain functions. The Production Manager will monitor process performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements, and resolve operational issues in real time. The position includes reporting on productivity and efficiency, supporting audits, and implementing best practices in precision manufacturing. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad.
Qualifications
- Strong production management skills, including production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
- Experience in precision manufacturing or engineering environments, preferably serving Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, or Energy sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop production teams, with effective people management, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems and tools, such as ERP/MRP software, shop-floor data collection, and basic MS Office applications.
- Commitment to workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to handle complex production challenges.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar production or operations management role within a high-precision, high-volume manufacturing environment.
