Production Manager - Wound Dressing Manufacturing Setup

About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Production Manager to set up and lead our medical-grade wound dressing manufacturing facility from the ground up. This is a greenfield project - you'll take it from an empty floor to a running production line. Regulatory team is already in place; we need someone who lives and breathes production.
What You'll Do
- Set up the entire production facility - layout, equipment installation, cleanroom commissioning (ISO Class $7/8$)
- Establish manufacturing lines for foam, hydrocolloid, alginate, and antimicrobial dressings
- Install and validate die-cutting, lamination, coating, and packaging equipment
- Develop SOPs, batch records, and process workflows from scratch
- Execute IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols for all equipment and processes
- Set up sterilization processes (EtO/Gamma) and packaging validation
- Hire, train, and manage the production team
- Drive lean manufacturing practices to hit target output and cost metrics
- Coordinate with regulatory and QA teams for audit readiness
What You Bring
Required:
- 8+ years in medical device/wound dressing manufacturing
- Proven experience setting up a production facility from scratch (non-negotiable)
- Deep knowledge of die-cutting, lamination, coating, and converting processes for dressings
- Hands-on cleanroom operations and sterilization process expertise
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 manufacturing requirements and GMP practices
- Experience with ERP/MES systems and production planning
- Strong vendor management skills for sourcing machinery and raw materials (hydrocolloids, PU films, adhesives, non-wovens)
Preferred:
- Prior experience with advanced wound care products (silver dressings, foam, hydrocolloid)
- Six Sigma / Lean certification
- B.Tech in Chemical/Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering
