We are looking for an experienced Production Head to lead end-to-end production operations at a specialty chemical manufacturing facility in Hajipir, Bhuj, Kutch, Gujarat.
Role Description
- Lead overall production operations and achieve daily, monthly, and annual production targets.
- Develop production plans and monitor key parameters including yield, capacity utilization, quality, and productivity.
- Drive process optimization, cost reduction, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supervise production engineers, supervisors, operators, and contract workforce.
- Ensure compliance with SHE, HAZOP, PSM, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure product quality and compliance with required standards.
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive maintenance, shutdowns, and plant reliability.
- Manage manpower planning, shift operations, performance management, and team development.
- Prepare production budgets and control manufacturing costs and consumption of key raw materials and utilities.
- Support plant expansion, upgrades, debottlenecking, and operational improvement projects.
Qualifications
B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university – mandatory.
18+ years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
Minimum 10+ years in a senior production leadership role.
Experience in large-scale continuous chemical process plants is strongly preferred.
Experience in specialty chemicals / chemical manufacturing will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of process engineering, plant operations, HAZOP, PSM, DCS/SCADA, process instrumentation, and industrial automation.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations, ETP/STP management, and chemical waste disposal.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and crisis-management skills.
