Headline: Hiring: Production Executive| Garment Production | Uptownie | Kolkata
The Goal: Uptownie is scaling fast, and we need a Production Executive whose primary mission is to expand our manufacturing footprint. If you have a deep, active list of reliable job workers and know how to onboard new ones, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Deployment: Bring your existing, trusted network of stitching units, sampling masters, and finishing job-workers to fulfill Uptownie’s production needs.
- Onboarding: Constantly scout, vet, and onboard new satellite units to increase our monthly production capacity.
- Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive "per-piece" rates with new and existing job workers while maintaining our quality benchmarks.
- Capacity Planning: Match the right job-worker to the right product (e.g., assigning a heavy denim unit vs. a delicate chiffon unit).
- On-Ground Audits: Visit new units to verify their machinery, labor conditions, and ability to hit deadlines before onboarding them.
What We Are Looking For:
- 3–7 years of experience in Sourcing or Vendor Management in the garment industry.
- A "Ready-to-Go" Network: You must have an active list of contacts in Kolkata that can start working with us immediately.
- Street Smarts: You know how to spot a "good" workshop from a "bad" one within 10 minutes of walking in.
- Reliable person for field visits.
Salary & Incentives- Base Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 (Market rate for an Executive).
- Network Bonus: A Performance Bonus for every new, high-quality unit they successfully onboard that passes its first 3 bulk orders without quality rejections.
