Role Description
- To carry out day-to-day production activity and related maintenance tasks which support daily production needs of operating plant. Responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People Management.
- Safety – Risk assessment + Incident reporting and investigation, Permit issue/ closure, Process/ Equipment safety + Occupational health related improvements.
- Responsible for quality of incoming raw/ packing materials + in-process/ Finished Products, Handling Customer complaints + must understand/ able to apply various problem-solving techniques like 8D etc.
- Implement quality assurance procedures including IMS (Integrated Management System) to achieve desired quality standards in product and services consistently.
- Execute product and process manufacturing activity as per input from Production Manager to meet production requirements of the group business in line with laid down IMS and Safety standards.
- To implement defined recipes, processes and quality standards.
- Execute testing of raw materials, recipes and processes without affecting the quality of product as per inputs and guidance from Cell manager
- Validate process modification proposed in CQT and highlight observations to Cell Manager.
- Motivate, educate and train Cell Assistants (Hourlies) for the organization requirements like Lean, HSE, IMS standards, Quality circle, kaizens etc
- Always ensure 5S and excellent housekeeping in the Cell
- Manpower planning – Team of 20 operators/ contractual, Leave management, Training and development through small group activity etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field
- 5 to 7 years of experience in production management.
- Chemical process/manufacturing related industries.
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning and Production Management
- Familiarity with Quality Control standards and procedures
- Solid problem-solving and organizational skills
- Prior experience in manufacturing or process industries is a plus
