Production Engineer – Panel Assembly

Job Summary
Resonating Mindz Technology Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Production Engineer – Panel Assembly with experience in industrial automation and electrical control panel manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, testing, inspection, and production of industrial electrical control panels, PLC panels, MCC panels, automation panels, and Industrial IoT (IIoT) systems.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of electrical panel manufacturing, wiring practices, engineering drawings, quality standards, and production processes while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety norms.
Key Responsibilities
- Production & Panel Assembly
- Assemble industrial electrical control panels as per approved GA drawings, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and BOM.
- Perform mechanical assembly, DIN rail mounting, component installation, cable routing, ferruling, crimping, and wiring.
- Ensure proper panel layout, workmanship, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Coordinate day-to-day production activities to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
- Troubleshoot assembly-related issues during manufacturing.
Electrical Wiring & Testing
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, control circuit diagrams, and wiring layouts.
- Carry out point-to-point wiring, cable termination, and interconnections.
- Perform electrical testing including continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) before dispatch.
- Identify and rectify wiring or assembly defects to ensure first-pass quality.
- Production Planning & Coordination
- Monitor production progress against planned schedules.
- Coordinate with Stores and Procurement for timely material availability.
- Report engineering issues, design discrepancies, or material shortages affecting production.
- Maintain daily production records, work reports, and manufacturing documentation.
Quality Assurance
Ensure all panels comply with approved drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
Follow quality inspection procedures and production checklists.
Support internal quality inspections and audits.
Maintain proper production documentation and traceability records.
Continuous Improvement
Recommend improvements in panel assembly methods and manufacturing processes.
Improve productivity through process optimization and reduced assembly time.
Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen practices.
Minimize rework, defects, and production losses.
Safety & Compliance
Follow electrical safety procedures during assembly and testing.
Ensure proper usage of PPE and safe handling of electrical equipment.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
Candidates must have the following skills and experience:
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical control panel assembly and manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in Industrial Electrical Panel Assembly.
- Experience in PLC Panel Wiring.
- Experience in MCC & PCC Panel Assembly.
- Experience in Control Panel Manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret Electrical Drawings, Schematics, and Wiring Diagrams.
- Hands-on experience in Panel Layout, Wiring Practices, Cable Ferruling, and Crimping.
- Experience using Electrical Testing Instruments such as Multimeter, Megger, and Clamp Meter.
- Knowledge of Industrial Automation Components including relays, contactors, MCCBs, MCBs, SMPS, and terminal blocks.
- Experience in BOM Verification and ensuring adherence to approved engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of Electrical Safety Standards during panel assembly and testing.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
