Position Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented and proactive Production Engineers to oversee daily shop-floor manufacturing operations, ensure strict adherence to quality and dimensional tolerances, and drive operational efficiency across our units in Vatva and Sanand.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably rubber, silicone, or plastic product fabrication), a solid ability to interpret engineering drawings, and proficient computer skills for production logging and tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Supervision: Oversee day-to-day manufacturing processes (molding, extrusion, finishing) to meet target output schedules and delivery timelines.
- Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Read, interpret, and implement technical/industrial engineering drawings ( tolerance specifications) for custom rubber and plastic components.
- Process & Quality Control: Ensure products are manufactured strictly according to design parameters, reducing scrap rates and ensuring zero-defect quality standards.
- Resource Management: Coordinate shop-floor operators, assign daily work targets, and ensure optimal machine and material utilization.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain production logs, shift reports, inventory tracking, and process documentation using computer software (Excel/ERP).
- Troubleshooting: Identify operational bottlenecks, equipment line delays, or mold/tooling issues on the floor and implement corrective actions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma or Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Polymer Science.
- Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience as a Production / Process Engineer in a manufacturing setup (Direct experience in Rubber, Silicone, or Plastic molding/extrusion is highly preferred).
- Engineering Drawings: Strong proficiency in reading, understanding, and implementing 2D/3D industrial drawings, GD&T, and engineering specs.
- Computer Proficiency: Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems for daily reporting and production tracking.
- Shop-Floor Leadership: Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-handling skills.
