Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Engineer role based at the Shinex Mosaics facility in Butibori. The Production Engineer will oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring efficient operation of equipment, adherence to production schedules, and achievement of output and quality targets. Responsibilities include monitoring production processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements in coordination with cross-functional teams. The role involves supporting production planning, coordinating with maintenance for minimal downtime, and enforcing safety and compliance standards on the shop floor. The Production Engineer will also collaborate closely with quality teams to reduce defects, optimize material usage, and document process changes and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Production Engineering and related manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Production Planning and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Solid Quality Control knowledge, including process checks, defect analysis, and corrective actions.
- Effective Communication and interpersonal skills for working with operators, supervisors, and management.
- Analytical Skills for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in ceramics, tiles, glass, or similar process industries is an advantage.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment and support shift operations as needed.
