Role Description The Production Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Production Engineer will oversee daily production activities, ensure that manufacturing processes run efficiently, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, monitoring workflows, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and resolving operational issues to meet quality and delivery targets. The role involves implementing process improvements, supporting quality control checks, maintaining production documentation, and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards on the shop floor. The Production Engineer will also provide technical support to the production team and communicate progress and challenges to management.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Production Engineering skills to manage and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify root causes, and support process improvement.
- Candidates should possess experience in Production Planning to schedule operations, allocate resources, and meet delivery timelines.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills to monitor product standards and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to collaborate with production staff, management, and vendors.
- Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Production, Industrial) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Familiarity with manufacturing tools, machinery, and basic safety practices in an industrial environment.
- Ability to work on-site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and adapt to a fast-paced production setting.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and production-related software is beneficial.
