Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Engineer role based in Vasai. The Production Engineer will oversee daily production activities, ensuring efficient operation of thermoforming and sheet extrusion lines while meeting quality, safety, and delivery targets. Responsibilities include monitoring production performance, planning and scheduling production runs, optimizing processes, and coordinating with R&D, maintenance, and quality teams. The role involves implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, troubleshooting technical issues on the shop floor, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity. The Production Engineer will also prepare production reports, support training of operators, and contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Production Engineering skills, with experience in plastics or thermoforming processes preferred.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and problem-solving abilities to diagnose production issues and optimize processes.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Production Planning and scheduling to manage resources, materials, and timelines effectively.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Quality Control practices, including inspection, testing, and adherence to relevant standards.
- Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide concise reports.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or related field) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools and familiarity with automated production systems will be beneficial.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with safety and compliance awareness is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Vasai, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced production setup.
