Job Position: Production Engineer
Location: Sarigam, Near Vapi, Gujarat
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee and optimize manufacturing operations in our chemical production facility. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety and quality standards, and continuous improvement in plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to meet output and quality targets.
· Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations and company policies.
· Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.
· Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
· Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams for smooth plant operations.
· Monitor raw material consumption, yields, and process parameters.
· Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and reports.
· Lead and supervise shop-floor personnel, ensuring proper training and discipline.
· Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
· Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, BSc/MSc Chemistry, or related field also preferred.
· 8 - 10 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing plant.
· Experience in handling batch/continuous processes (depending on plant type).
· Knowledge of process optimization, safety standards, and quality systems.
· Familiarity with GMP, FDA, Quality Systems, and ISO standards and regulatory compliance.
· Experience in handling a Team will be preferred.
· Preference will also be given to senior retired people staying in and around Vapi, Gujarat.
Key Skills
· Strong understanding of chemical production processes.
· Problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Good communication and team management abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP systems.
Preferred Attributes
· Exposure to specialty chemicals, dyes, intermediates, or similar sectors.
· Knowledge of hazard analysis (HAZOP), risk assessment, and safety audits.
· Hands-on approach with strong ownership mindset.
