About the Role
8OL Robotics is looking for a Production Engineer to help build and improve production workflows at our factory in Rajasthan.
The objective of this role is to set up structured factory processes, improve production efficiency, reduce manual dependencies, and help automate repeatable manufacturing and assembly tasks. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable working on the factory floor with electronics, mechanical parts, tools, documentation, and production teams.
This role is suited for someone who enjoys building systems, improving processes, solving practical engineering problems, and converting product requirements into repeatable production workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, document, and implement production workflows for electronics and drone-related products.
- Set up standard operating procedures for assembly, testing, quality checks, packaging, and dispatch.
- Improve factory floor processes to increase speed, consistency, and reliability.
- Identify production bottlenecks and create practical solutions to reduce delays and errors.
- Work with electronics assemblies including PCBs, wiring, soldering, connectors, sensors, flight controllers, ESCs, and related systems.
- Coordinate with design, R&D, and operations teams to transfer products from prototype stage to production stage.
- Create jigs, fixtures, test setups, and assembly aids for repeatable manufacturing.
- Use CAD and 3D printing to develop tools, holders, fixtures, enclosures, and production support parts.
- Maintain production documentation, checklists, test reports, and quality control records.
- Train production staff on correct assembly processes, safety practices, and quality standards.
- Support inventory planning, material flow, work order tracking, and production scheduling.
- Assist in setting up semi-automated or automated production systems where possible.
- Ensure that products are built according to defined specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in electronics assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing.
- Understanding of PCBs, soldering, wiring harnesses, connectors, power systems, and basic embedded hardware.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software for mechanical design.
- Experience with 3D printing, prototyping, and fixture development.
- Ability to create clear SOPs, checklists, process documents, and production records.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on the factory floor.
- Ability to coordinate with engineers, technicians, vendors, and production workers.
- Good understanding of practical manufacturing constraints, quality control, and repeatability.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving hardware/product environment.
Preferred Skills
- Linux experience is preferred.
- Experience with drones, robotics, electronics manufacturing, or embedded systems is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with tools such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, FreeCAD, KiCad, or similar software.
- Experience with production automation, test rigs, jigs, fixtures, or QC systems.
- Basic scripting or automation experience is a plus.
- Experience with inventory systems, production planning tools, or ERP-style workflows is a plus.

- Willing to work from the Jurhera factory during the week.
Work Location and Facilities
The role is based at our factory in Jurhera, Rajasthan.
The company provides:
- Residence at the factory.
- Food during the stay at the factory.
- Company vehicle pickup from Delhi on Monday morning.
- Company vehicle drop to Delhi on Friday.
Standard working hours are 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs, Monday to Friday.
