1. Job Summary:-
The Production Coordinator (PCB Assembly) is responsible for planning and coordinating PCB production activities including SMT/THT assembly, BOM verification, and material readiness. The role ensures seamless execution of production schedules by aligning closely with stores, procurement, quality, and engineering teams. Freshers with electronics background and strong aptitude for manufacturing systems are encouraged to apply.
2. Key Responsibilities:-
- Coordinate daily PCB production (SMT/THT/Final Assembly) as per plan
- Track WIP (Work-in-Progress) and ensure smooth flow between stages
- Verify Bill of Materials (BOM) against production requirements and PCB design files (Gerber/BOM list)
- Coordinate with stores for kitting of components as per BOM
- Ensure correct component values, footprints, and part numbers before issue
- Track shortages, alternates, and substitutions in coordination with procurement/R&D
- Support ECN (Engineering Change Notice) implementation on shop floor
- Coordinate with EMS Vendors
- Maintain production logs, traceability records, and batch documentation
- Assist in root cause analysis for defects (rework/rejection trends)
- Work with R&D/Design team for clarifications on BOM, drawings, and assembly instructions
- Coordinate with procurement for critical/long lead components
3. Required Skills & Competencies:-
- Basic understanding of PCB assembly process (SMT/THT)
- Knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, polarity, packages like SMD, QFN, BGA – basic level for freshers)
- Familiarity with BOM structure, part numbering, and component identification
- Basic understanding of Gerber files / PCB drawings (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Excel (ERP knowledge like SAP is an advantage)
- Strong coordination, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
4. Qualifications:-
- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electronics / Electrical / ECE / Instrumentation / Production
- 0–5 years of experience in PCB assembly/manufacturing
- Freshers are welcome; training will be provided on Production Process, BOM handling, and ERP systems
