Role Description The Production Chemist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Production Chemist will oversee the preparation, mixing, and processing of epoxy and polyurethane formulations according to established specifications and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include monitoring production batches, conducting in-process checks, documenting results, and coordinating with the quality control and R&D teams to maintain product consistency. The role also involves calibrating and operating laboratory and production equipment, supporting troubleshooting of formulation or process issues, and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and company procedures. The Production Chemist will collaborate closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including handling chemicals, operating basic lab instruments, and following safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for interpreting test results, understanding formulation data, and supporting process optimization.
- Candidates should possess experience in Quality Control, including sampling, testing, and documenting compliance with specifications and standards.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), with the ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate production records.
- Candidates should possess exposure to Research and Development (R&D), such as supporting formulation trials, scale-up activities, and process improvements.
- Relevant qualifications include a diploma or degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with epoxy and polyurethane systems, attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication in a team environment.
