Role Description The Production and Maintenance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Vellore. This position oversees daily production activities, ensuring that rehabilitation devices are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in alignment with quality standards. The role includes planning and monitoring production schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing workflows to meet output targets. The manager is responsible for maintenance planning, supervising equipment inspections, organizing preventive maintenance, and managing repair activities to minimize downtime. Day-to-day tasks also involve supervising production and maintenance staff, maintaining documentation and reports, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair activities for manufacturing or medical devices.
- Experience in preventive maintenance and maintenance management, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
- Background in production management or manufacturing operations, preferably in healthcare or medical devices.
- Relevant technical degree or diploma in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance logs, and production reports.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in industrial or healthcare settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site in Vellore.
