We are currently hiring a Production & Cutting list Manager to join our client's team in Chennai.
Job Purpose
To ensure that approved interior designs are accurately translated into production-ready cutting lists, bill of materials, hardware requirements, and fabrication instructions based on actual site conditions. The role acts as a bridge between the Design Team, Factory Team, Procurement Team, and Project Execution Team to ensure smooth manufacturing, minimal errors, reduced material wastage, and successful project execution.
Job Responsibilities
• Check the 3D designs against the BOQ and verify for its correctness and workability, before the final designs are signed-off by the customer.
• Visit project sites and verify the 3D designs against site conditions and suggest any changes to be done in the designs, as per actual site conditions and get them revised by the design team.
• Visit project sites and verify dimensions, measurements, and site conditions before production.
• Identify deviations between approved designs and actual site conditions and coordinate with the Design Team for necessary corrections.
• Review production drawings and ensure readiness for manufacturing.
• Prepare detailed cutting lists for all modular furniture components including wardrobes, kitchens, TV units, crockery units, study units, lofts, and other modular works.
• Prepare project-wise bill of materials (BOM) including plywood, boards, laminates, edge bands, hardware, accessories, and consumables.
• Coordinate with Procurement Team regarding material requirements and quantities.
• Prepare fabrication instructions for factory production including edge band specifications, groove details, CNC requirements, drilling requirements, hardware preparation, and assembly references.
• Coordinate with factory personnel and clarify technical requirements during fabrication.
• Monitor production progress and ensure manufacturing is carried out as per approved drawings and cutting lists.
• Conduct quality checks on fabricated materials and identify deviations before dispatch to site.
• Maintain records of cutting lists, BOMs, revisions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Support Project Execution Team with technical clarifications related to fabricated materials whenever required.
• Do all reporting activities as required by the management.

Educational Qualification
• B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
Experience
• 3–8 years of experience in modular furniture manufacturing, interior fit-outs, production planning, cutting list preparation, or related fields.
Software Skills
• AutoCAD / ActCAD – Mandatory
• SketchUp – Preferred • MS Excel – Mandatory
• Knowledge of cutting list software or optimization tools will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
• Knowledge of modular furniture construction methods.
• Knowledge of hardware, accessories, and fittings.
• Ability to prepare cutting lists independently.
• Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Communication Skills
• Good communication skills in Tamil and basic English.
Location - Chennai
• Willingness to travel to project sites and factory locations whenever required.
