Position Summary
As a Systems/Product Development Engineer, you will join the R&D team driving advanced orthopedic surgical robots and digital surgery tools. Acting as the link between clinical needs, engineering, and regulatory compliance, you will ensure high‑performance product designs for New Product Introduction (NPI) and support Life Cycle Management (LCM) of existing products.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development (NPD/NPI):
- Translate voice of customer (VOC) into system requirements.
- Define product architecture, system interactions, and workflows.
- Develop design and manufacturing specifications optimized for quality, cost, and supply chain.
- Conduct risk management activities (Design/Process FMEA).
Life Cycle Management (LCM):
- Lead enhancements to existing orthopedic products for functionality, quality, and cost.
- Manage supplier‑driven material/process changes with validation and regression testing.
- Resolve design and manufacturing issues through root cause analysis (RCA).
System Integration & Verification (V&V):
- Support integration of hardware, software, and firmware subsystems.
- Develop and execute verification plans, protocols, and reports.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test protocols, and results for regulatory submissions (FDA/EU MDR).
