About the Role
The Product Specialist (Technical – SaaS) is a highly strategic, dual-engine role that demands an equal combination of technical background and marketing/customer engagement capability. Coming from a technical background, you will deeply understand application logic, system integrations, and underlying workflows. On the customer side, you will act as a core solution consultant—owning feature generation, driving the product roadmap, and executing high-impact product demonstrations.
Rather than executing separate engineering or sales tasks, you will be the absolute bridge between engineering and the market. You will constantly interact with cross-divisional teams and active customers to capture structural feedback, discover unaddressed pain points, and turn them into feature innovations.
Key Responsibilities
🗺️ 1. Feature Innovation & Roadmap Ownership
- Feature Discovery: Drive continuous product innovation by leading cross-divisional discovery sessions with Sales, Customer Success, and internal operations to capture unmapped requirements.
- Roadmap Gathering: Gather, synthesize, and prioritize core customer requirements, translating real-world operational challenges into structured feature roadmaps for the engineering team.
- Product Feedback Loop: Consistently interview customers and analyze usage data to discover missing system capabilities, acting as the primary loop back to the Product Managers and Technical Leads.
🎤 2. Product Demonstrations & Solution Consulting
- Technical Walkthroughs: Conduct articulate, technical-yet-business-focused product demonstrations for prospective and existing customers, showcasing deep product workflows.
- Solution Architecture: Translate a customer's specific operational layout into configured workflows, user permissions, or API integrations during the pre-sales and onboarding phases.
- Value-Driven Positioning: Support Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy teams by matching technical features to commercial value propositions, creating high-trust technical proposals and scope documents.
⚙️ 3. Customer Onboarding & Technical Implementation
- System Configuration: Drive successful customer onboarding by directly setting up complex product modules, defining role-based access controls, and aligning functional workflows.
- User Enablement: Run interactive functional workshops and user training sessions, transforming clients into platform advocates and super-users.
- UAT & Validation: Participate actively in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release validation, and feature reviews to guarantee that client requirements are flawlessly realized before feature rollouts.
📚 4. Knowledge Management & Analytics
- Ecosystem Documentation: Draft and maintain technical user guides, FAQs, system manuals, and release notes to streamline adoption for internal and external stakeholders.
- Adoption Tracking: Monitor post-implementation usage trends and platform adoption metrics to proactively spot client challenges and suggest workflow corrections.
Required Technical & Professional Background
- Technical Background: A Bachelor’s degree in IT or an identical field.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven experience in SaaS product support, technical consulting, product engineering, or system implementation frameworks.
- Domain Knowledge: Demonstrable experience working with complex multi-tenant workflows, SaaS frameworks, enterprise portals, or data-dense dashboards.
- Systems Familiarity: Strong functional comprehension of APIs, data flow patterns, third-party software integrations, and structural system configurations.
- Communication Mastery: Outstanding verbal and written presentation skills, with a native ability to break down highly technical architecture into clear, impactful business terms for corporate stakeholders.
