Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Research Intern to join our Product Development team. As an intern, you will play an essential role in supporting the research and development of new products by gathering and analyzing data, assisting in prototype testing, and conducting competitive and market research. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to help guide product innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product & Market Research (Kids Learning & STEM Category)
- Research existing STEM kits, science toys, creative learning kits and activity-based products in the Indian and global market.
- Analyse competitor brands, pricing, components, manuals, packaging and learning outcomes.
- Identify new experiment ideas, kit concepts and learning formats suitable for children aged 6–14.
2. Child-Centric Product Concept Validation
- Support in validating new product ideas for Crazinos (science kits, slime kits, creative kits and mini kits).
- Evaluate concepts based on learning value, fun factor, safety, ease of use and age-appropriateness.
3. Prototype & Kit Testing Support
- Assist in testing new experiments, activities and kit components (tools, materials, manuals and play elements).
- Observe usability issues, clarity of instructions and engagement level for kids.
- Document improvement suggestions for experiment flow, materials and manuals.
4. Learning & Content Research for Manuals and App
- Support research for experiment explanations, fun facts, learning outcomes and STEM concepts used in Crazinos manuals and digital content.
- Help ensure scientific accuracy while keeping explanations simple and kid-friendly.
5. User & Parent Feedback Analysis
- Assist in collecting and analysing feedback from parents, kids, educators and internal teams.
- Convert qualitative feedback into actionable product improvements.
6. Data & Insight Support for Product Decisions
- Organise research data related to user behaviour, kit usage, popular experiments and content performance.
- Assist product managers in deriving insights that support future product planning and kit upgrades.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product designers, content creators, operations teams and marketing teams to align product requirements with learning goals and brand positioning.
8. Innovation & New Kit Ideation Support
Participate in brainstorming sessions for new kits, themes, experiment categories and gamified learning formats.
Support concept development for future Crazinos products including digital integration (app-based learning, challenges and achievements).
9. Competitive & Trend Monitoring
Track emerging trends in STEM education, activity-based learning, experiential learning and gamified education for kids.
Share regular insights on new product formats, content styles and learning approaches.
10. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare structured research summaries, experiment validation reports and concept evaluation documents for internal product reviews.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program B.tech
- Strong analytical and research skills; able to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Familiarity with market research tools and methodologies (e.g., surveys, focus groups, competitive analysis, etc.) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience working with prototypes or product testing is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and/or familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SPSS, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present research findings clearly and effectively.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passionate about STEM innovations and new product development.
