ExpatReady Technologies Inc. builds a multi-tenant SaaS case management and CRM platform for licensed immigration practitioners: RCICs and immigration law firms. The founder is a practising RCIC, so the product is designed from inside the problem. We're small, remote and shipping fast. The stack is NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL, React and Vite. A large share of our engineering is AI-agent-assisted.
Position: Product Owner and Senior Business Analyst with 6–10 years' experience
Compensation: ₹18–25 LPA fixed depending on experience, plus ESOP as an early product hire.

We're looking for a Product Owner and Senior Business Analyst from a product company — B2B SaaS, fintech, insurtech, healthtech or similar — who has owned requirements for a real product rather than gathered them for a client.
Why this role exists
Right now most of the product knowledge sits with the founder, and every requirement routes through them. That has to stop.
We have a written specification: 28 modules and over 1,000 requirements across the Super Admin and firm-facing consoles. The Super Admin side has been through a detailed review. The firm-facing side is still in draft and is the next big build.
You will take requirements from the founder, who acts as the business owner, and make them yours. You'll take the firm-side spec from draft to build-ready, keep it accurate, and be the person engineering goes to instead of the founder.
What you'll own
• The requirements. Interview the founder, extract rules and edge cases, write and maintain module specs, and close open decisions.
• The backlog for your product area. Epics, user stories and Given/When/Then acceptance criteria detailed enough that an engineer or an AI agent can build from them without a follow-up call.
• Sprint intake. Clarify, prioritise and unblock with the engineering team.
• Acceptance and UAT. Nothing ships until you've checked it does what the spec said. (QA testing is a separate function.)
• Users. Talk to real RCICs and immigration firms and bring what you learn into the roadmap.
• Decisions. The founder decides what and why: pricing, compliance and regulator-facing rules, and the cross-module data model. You decide how it's specified, story-level trade-offs, sequencing within agreed priorities, and what passes UAT. This boundary widens as trust builds.
What we expect
• Day 30: two firm-side modules reviewed with the founder, corrected and signed off.
• Day 45: you own the backlog for one product area end to end and run sprint intake.
• Day 60: the founder is out of the requirements path for that area.
What you need
• You are a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst with 6–10 years' experience, at least 4 of them inside a product company — B2B SaaS, fintech, insurtech, healthtech or similar. Not client-side at a services firm or a GCC delivery team.• Requirements ownership on multi-tenant B2B SaaS: tenant isolation, role hierarchies and per-tenant configuration.
• Experience in a regulated or compliance-heavy domain (fintech, insurance, healthcare, legal-tech, payroll) where you had to learn a rulebook and get details exactly right.
• Proof that you write the artifacts yourself. We'll ask for a real PRD, epic or set of acceptance criteria.
• Enough technical fluency to read an API contract, write basic SQL and use Postman without asking a developer.
• Experience using AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot or similar) to spec or build. Vague stories produce a lot of wrong code very quickly.
• The behaviour we screen hardest for: you ask questions early and often. You'd rather interrupt the founder than guess. You challenge us when a rule doesn't add up. If you wait to be handed a brief, this role isn't for you.
Canadian immigration knowledge is not required. IRCC rules are public, and we expect you to learn them fast.
