Product Owner / Product Manager – Retail Domain

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner / Product Manager with strong expertise in the Retail domain to lead product strategy, roadmap planning, and Agile delivery. The ideal candidate should have experience translating business requirements into scalable product solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact digital products.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product vision, roadmap, and backlog.
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders.
- Work closely with Business, Engineering, UX/UI, QA, and Architecture teams.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritize product backlog.
- Drive Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely delivery of product features.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product opportunities.
- Define and monitor product KPIs and continuously optimize product performance.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular product updates.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and product strategy.
Required Skills
- 5–15 years of overall experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Product Lead
- Strong experience in the Retail domain (E-commerce, Omnichannel, Merchandising, POS, Supply Chain, Inventory, Loyalty, Pricing, Order Management, or Digital Commerce)
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Expertise in backlog management and writing user stories
- Strong stakeholder management and business communication skills
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with cross-functional product and engineering teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Digital Transformation or Customer Experience initiatives
- Knowledge of Retail ERP, CRM, OMS, POS, or Supply Chain solutions
- Exposure to cloud-based applications and APIs
- Scrum Product Owner or Agile certifications (preferred)
- Experience working with global or enterprise retail organizations
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- MBA or Product Management certification is an added advantage
