Your Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible as a product expert for Low Pressure Fuel Injector across Schaeffler.
- Own the Product performance and reliability
- Support new applications with product technical definition and customer support during acquisitions
- Develop expertise with all aspects of injector bench marking, prototype manufacturing and testing
- Define and manage laboratory characterization and qualification testing
- Deep and active support of any process issues in Manufacturing and field failures
- Mentor new Engineer training
- Able to conduct work with minimal guidance and supervision, and to balance multiple projects
- Able to work effectively in a worldwide organization, including up to 10% travel
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years (15 years preferred) of experience in an Injector Design & development Role
- Understanding of solenoid fast actuators, including magnetic material selection
- Able to design precision metal components via deep drawing, machining, electro-plating, and other processes
- Understanding of low pressure injector flow and fuel characteristics
- Exposure to High-Speed Manufacturing environment
- Ability to lead and drive real design decisions
- Understanding of PPAP and other automotive quality tools
- FMEA Expert
- Fluent English
- Exposure to Structural FEA , CAD (Catia, Creo)
- Basic understanding of Magnetic analysis, and other Simulation methods as needed
