Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Gandhinagar for an Accounting Product Owner at Odoo. The Accounting Product Owner will be responsible for defining product requirements, prioritizing features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the development of innovative accounting software solutions. This role involves gathering and analyzing stakeholder needs, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and delivering features that address the needs of users in various industries. Additionally, the Product Owner will optimize the product to maintain Odoo’s competitive market position.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and industry standards
- Experience in defining product roadmaps, gathering requirements, and working closely with development teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for market analysis and feature prioritization
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and end-users
- Prior experience in software product management or an in-depth understanding of ERP systems is beneficial
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and agile practices
- Ability to interpret and apply global accounting regulations; knowledge of IFRS or GAAP is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; additional certifications like CPA are an advantage
