About Auric AI
Auric builds AI for defense and intelligence applications. We work on problems that matter, for customers that operate at the edge of national security, across computer vision, image analysis, and applied AI systems.
Our work is increasingly visible. We need someone to own how Auric shows up in the world.
The Role
This is not a typical marketing role.
We’re looking for someone who can deeply understand what we build, why it matters, and make strategic decisions about how, where, and to whom we show up. You will think hard about positioning, market, and audience, and turn that thinking into sharp content, events, and presence.
You will own the marketing function end to end. You will work directly with the founder and engineering teams to make sure Auric is understood, remembered, and chosen.
What you’ll own
- Positioning and strategy: How Auric is positioned in the market, what we stand for, who we are talking to, and what makes us different. You will own the narrative across every external surface, including website, decks, collateral, LinkedIn, and exhibition booths.
- Events strategy and execution: Recommend which events Auric should attend, what we should showcase at each, and own the booth, narrative, and collateral. We exhibit at significant defense and technology events, and you will decide how we show up.
- Content strategy: Decide what we write, why, and for whom. Blogs, whitepapers, thought leadership, LinkedIn content. Heavy use of AI in execution is expected and encouraged. Your value is in the thinking, angles, and editorial judgment.
- Go to market thinking: Recommend how we approach new audiences, segments, and opportunities. Bring a point of view on where we should be visible and where we should not.
- Brand consistency: Across proposals, presentations, content, and physical presence.
Who you are
- 2 to 6 years of experience in product marketing or marketing strategy, ideally in defense, defense tech, deep tech, or another technically substantive domain.
- A genuinely good writer and clear thinker. You can explain complex things simply without dumbing them down.
- A strategic thinker. You don’t just execute. You have a point of view on what should be done and why.
- Comfortable with ambiguity. You don’t need detailed briefs. You ask the right questions, form a perspective, and execute.
- Independent. You recommend and decide, then you own the outcome.
- Curious about defense, intelligence, and the role AI plays in national security. You don’t need prior domain experience, but you do need to find this work genuinely interesting.
What this role is not
- Not a content writer role. You will write, but the value is in strategic decisions, not volume of output.
- Not a social media manager role. Brand goes deeper than channels.
- Not an execution only role. If you want detailed direction on every task, this isn’t the right fit.
