Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager/Director of Product Management to lead the development and scaling of our Payment Gateway platform from scratch. This role will own end-to-end product strategy, execution, and optimization of payment flows across multiple geographies, payment methods, and merchant segments.
You will work at the intersection of engineering, business, compliance, and partnerships to build a highly reliable, scalable, and secure payments infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Define and drive the roadmap for the Payment Gateway (PG) platform
- Own core modules such as payment processing, routing, retries, chargebacks, settlements, and reconciliation
- Identify growth opportunities across authorization rates, conversion, and cost optimization
- Build scalable APIs and SDKs for merchants and partners
Payments Optimization
- Improve success rates via intelligent routing, failover handling, and retry mechanisms
- Optimize checkout experience across web, mobile, and SDK integrations
- Work on latency reduction and high availability systems
Merchant & Partner Ecosystem
- Drive integrations with card networks such as VISA, Mastercard, and international payment methods
- Integration with Crypto solutions and CaaS providers
- Integration with in-house wallet, BNPL solutions
- Collaborate with banks, payment networks, and alternative payment providers
- Enhance merchant onboarding, KYC, and activation flows
Data & Analytics
- Define and track key metrics: success rate, TAT, drop-offs, fraud rates, etc.
- Leverage data to drive product decisions and A/B experiments
- Work closely with risk and fraud teams to balance conversion and security
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (PCI-DSS, and compliance guidelines)
- Collaborate with compliance teams on audit readiness and reporting
- Implement fraud detection and risk mitigation strategies

Execution & Delivery
- Work with engineering to deliver high-quality, scalable systems
- Write PRDs, define use cases, and manage product lifecycle end-to-end
- Coordinate with design, QA, and operations for seamless releases
- Own end to end PnL of the product
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- 8–12 years in Product Management, with 3+ years in payments/fintech
- Experience working on payment gateways, PSPs, or banking/payment infrastructure
