VidyuthLabs is a deep-tech startup developing next-generation portable analytical instruments for rapid chemical and biological sensing. Our mission is to make laboratory-grade testing accessible anywhere through handheld electrochemical analyzers, advanced screen-printed electrodes (SPEs), nanomaterial-enabled sensors, and AI-powered data analysis. Incubated under RVEI and working in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence for Nanomaterials and Devices, VidyuthLabs is building solutions for food safety, environmental monitoring, healthcare diagnostics, industrial testing, and scientific research. Our team works at the intersection of electrochemistry, embedded systems, materials science, AI, and product engineering to redefine how analytical testing is performed.
Role Description
The Product Manager at VidyuthLabs is responsible for driving the development of our electrochemical sensing platform—from concept and research validation to commercialization and market launch. This is a full-time remote role involving close collaboration with R&D scientists, hardware engineers, embedded software developers, AI engineers, and business teams to transform scientific innovations into commercially successful products.
The Product Manager will define product strategy and roadmaps for portable electrochemical analyzers, screen-printed electrodes, consumables, cloud software, and AI-powered analytical tools. Responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, prioritizing product features, translating scientific and technical requirements into actionable product specifications, managing development milestones, coordinating product releases, and ensuring successful product-market fit.
The role also involves conducting market research, competitor analysis, collecting customer feedback from researchers and industry partners, monitoring product performance, supporting regulatory documentation where required, and working closely with sales and marketing teams to communicate product value effectively.
Qualifications
- Ability to define product strategy, product roadmaps, and manage the complete product lifecycle from research and prototyping through commercialization.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including hardware, embedded systems, software, AI/ML, electrochemistry, materials science, and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate customer needs and scientific research into practical product requirements.
- Familiarity with hardware product development, scientific instrumentation, IoT devices, sensors, embedded systems, or analytical instruments.
- Knowledge of electrochemical sensing, biosensors, nanomaterials, analytical chemistry, or scientific research workflows is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience using product management tools such as Jira, Notion, Trello, ClickUp, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving product requirements.
- Prior experience in product management, engineering, scientific research, or deep-tech startups is preferred.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
