ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a sharp, data-driven Product Manager to join our Product team. In this role you will work closely with senior PMs across the entire product lifecycle — from early-stage market discovery and pre-sales enablement through to shipping features that serve enterprise and large corporate clients in the fintech space.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technology, enjoys turning ambiguous customer signals into concrete product specs, and wants to build deep domain expertise in financial services and enterprise SaaS.
Location: Mumbai or Pune
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Sales & Market Research
- Support senior PMs in pre-sales engagements — prepare competitive analysis decks, feature comparison matrices, and solution briefs tailored to enterprise prospects.
- Conduct primary and secondary market research (analyst reports, customer interviews, win/loss analysis) to identify trends, unmet needs, and whitespace opportunities in the fintech landscape.
- Monitor competitor product releases, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies; synthesise findings into actionable intelligence for the product and GTM teams.
Product Discovery & Feature Definition
- Translate market research insights and customer feedback into well-structured feature hypotheses, user stories, and opportunity assessments.
- Leverage AI tools to validate concepts through prototypes. Appreciation for intuitive, enterprise-grade user experiences is expected.
- Prioritise feature candidates using data-driven frameworks aligned with company OKRs and revenue goals.
Product Building
- Own the end-to-end creation of detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) — covering problem statements, success metrics, functional and non-functional requirements, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate daily with engineering leads to refine technical scope, negotiate trade-offs, and ensure requirements are implementation-ready.
- Maintain a living PRD backlog; keep documentation current through sprint cycles, UAT, and post-launch iterations.
- Track user adoption and success metrics post-implementation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success — ensure alignment on priorities and timelines.
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives; track delivery metrics and flag risks early.
- Present findings, roadmap updates, and demo sessions to internal stakeholders and, where needed, directly to enterprise clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
- B.Tech / B.E. / MCA in CS or IT, MBA desirable (Tier-1, quant / tech orientation)
- 2-5 years of experience in a product management and pre-sales/solutions role — preferably within fintech, payments, banking, or enterprise SaaS.
- Demonstrated ability to author clear, comprehensive PRDs or functional specification documents that engineering teams can build from.
- Strong analytical mindset — comfortable with SQL, product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics), or BI dashboards to inform decisions with data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to distil complex ideas into crisp narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid UX intuition — ability to critique designs, identify usability gaps, and champion the end-user perspective in a B2B context.
- High initiative and ownership mentality; comfortable operating with ambiguity and driving workstreams independently.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to enterprise sales cycles or solution consulting in financial services.
- Familiarity with ERP (SAP, ServiceNow, Oracle, MS) and CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Understanding of APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns common in fintech platforms.
- MBA, product management certification (e.g., AIPMM, Pragmatic Institute), or equivalent practical experience.
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to financial services (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, RBI guidelines, etc.).
