Company Description
Phinite is building the operating system for AI agents. We help teams design, orchestrate, test, deploy, and observe multi-agent workflows across real business environments.
Our platform brings together agent workflows, integrations, environments, testing, observability, and enterprise-grade execution into one unified system.
We're a fast-moving product team solving real complexity in the AI agent space. If you thrive in environments where ambiguity is high and ownership matters, this is the place.
Role Description & Key Responsibilities
What You'll Do
We're looking for a Product Delivery & Quality Manager who sits at the intersection of product, engineering, documentation, and QA. This role is about bringing structure, clarity, and execution discipline to a fast-moving environment.
Note: This is not a traditional PM role, pure QA role, or project coordinator role. It's for someone who can take ambiguous product requirements and turn them into executable, validated work.
You will own:
Requirement Breakdown & Execution Planning
- Understand feature requirements, workflows, user journeys, and intended product behavior in depth
- Break broad requirements into pre-tickets, implementation subtasks, dependencies, and sequencing
- Structure work clearly enough for engineering, QA, and documentation teams to execute with less ambiguity
- Identify edge cases and missing requirement details before implementation starts
Product Documentation & Handoff Quality
- Convert product discussions into clear, developer-friendly execution notes
- Work with a documenter to ensure product and implementation documentation is accurate and usable
- Review documentation for functional clarity, actionability, and consistency
- Improve handoff quality between product, engineering, and QA
QA Planning & Quality Readiness
- Define test scenarios, validation coverage, acceptance logic, and release-readiness checklists
- Guide the manual QA team on what to validate and where the risks are
- Review bugs for reproducibility, clarity, severity, and product impact
- Ensure QA is validating real product intent, not just surface-level behavior
Delivery Operations
- Drive structured execution across feature planning, documentation, testing, and validation
- Track blockers, risks, incomplete dependencies, and readiness status
- Build lightweight but strong operational processes without unnecessary overhead
- Maintain discipline across Dev, UAT, and release flows
Technical QA Alignment
- Bring JavaScript / web product understanding to engage with QA automation efforts
- Support execution around TestRail, test mapping, and integration flows
- Work comfortably with APIs, JSON, browser debugging, and modern QA tooling
- Improve quality systems, not just track them
Team Scope You'll coordinate a small support pod: 1 Documenter + 2 Manual QA team members. This is execution ownership through delegation, review, prioritization, and follow-through—not traditional people management.
What Success Looks Like
- Product requirements become clearer before engineering starts
- Features are broken down with fewer gaps and fewer back-and-forth loops
- Documentation becomes more useful for engineering and QA
- QA teams test with stronger context and better coverage
- Bugs are reported with more precision and resolved faster
- Release readiness and delivery predictability improve
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience (4+ years)
- 4+ years in product delivery, QA, business analysis, product operations, release management, or similar execution-heavy roles
- Proven ability to take ambiguous requirements and convert them into clear, structured, build-ready work
- Strong experience writing or reviewing acceptance criteria, functional notes, subtasks, and product breakdowns
- Experience leading or coordinating manual QA execution
- Strong operational mindset with evidence of building process, structure, and delivery discipline
- Good product sense and ability to understand intended feature behavior and edge cases
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and comfort with modern web application behavior
- Familiarity with TestRail or similar test management systems
- Comfort with APIs, JSON, browser developer tools, logs, and debugging workflows
- Strong written communication and high attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, QA, and documentation teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience in SaaS, platform products, workflow tools, AI products, or integration-heavy systems
- Exposure to QA automation (Playwright, Cypress, or similar JavaScript-based tools)
- Familiarity with release management across Dev / UAT / Production
- Experience improving bug reporting quality and regression discipline
- Exposure to Jira, Linear, Notion, GitHub, Postman, Slack, and browser debugging
- Ability to review automation coverage direction
- Background in startup or fast-moving product teams
Who Will Thrive
- A structured operator who enjoys creating order from ambiguity
- Someone who naturally thinks in dependencies, edge cases, and execution detail
- A product-minded delivery leader who values clarity, ownership, and follow-through
- A quality-focused problem solver who can balance speed with rigor
- Someone who can guide people without becoming process-heavy
