Role Purpose:
Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a new portfolio of battery and energy products, with near-term focus on fixed batteries for 2–3 vehicle applications and inverter/UPS products. The role also supports adjacent offerings such as OEM battery supply, private swap network batteries and stations, battery management systems, and software/API products for fleets and OEMs.
Key responsibilities:
- Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities across fixed batteries, inverter/UPS, and adjacent battery platform products.
- Translate customer, fleet, OEM, and channel requirements into clear product requirements documents, specifications, and launch plans.
- Work with engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and external partners to develop, test, pilot, and launch products.
- Drive make-vs-buy, own-brand vs white-label, SKU, and customization decisions based on market need, margin, and speed to launch.
- Manage pricing, value proposition, gross margin logic, and business case for each product line.
- Coordinate certifications, reliability testing, field trials, and failure analysis for commercial readiness.
- Support sales and business development with product positioning, training, technical collateral, and customer engagement.
- Track product KPIs including launch timelines, cost, margin, quality, adoption, and field performance.
Candidate profile:
- 6–10 years of product management, technical product management, or product development experience.
- Strong exposure to batteries, energy storage, EV components, power electronics, inverter/UPS products, or related hardware systems.
- Ability to work across hardware, embedded/software, and partner-led product models.
- Product Manager – Battery & Energy Products
- Strong commercial orientation, with experience in B2B, OEM, fleet, channel, or enterprise product environments.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and handling cross-functional execution.
Preferred background
- Engineering degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical, energy systems, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Experience with battery systems, BMS, ESS, inverter/UPS products, or EV ecosystem products.
- Exposure to white-label or contract manufacturing models.
- Familiarity with software/API products, telemetry, fleet solutions, or connected energy systems.
