About Zopper
Zopper is a series D-funded startup in the InsurTech space. We enable large B2C businesses to offer insurance to their customers. We do this by fusing insurance and technology seamlessly to provide end-to-end solutions to our Business partners. Based on the need of Business partners, we create the Product i.e. customized insurance plans by partnering with Insurance companies. We then integrate these customized Insurance plans with the tech systems of the Business partners by creating customized APIs on our SAAS platform.
Role Review :
We are looking for a Product Manager to drive the development and scale-up of Zopper's Bancassurance technology platform. The role involves working closely with banks, NBFCs, insurers, business teams, engineering, and leadership to build products that improve insurance distribution, operational efficiency, customer experience, and revenue outcomes.
The ideal candidate should possess strong product thinking, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and execute the product roadmap for bancassurance and embedded insurance solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve insurance penetration, customer journeys, partner experience, and operational efficiency.
- Prioritize features and initiatives based on business impact, customer needs, technical feasibility, and strategic objectives.
- Track industry trends across insurance, lending, banking, and digital distribution.
Product Development & Execution
- Convert business requirements into detailed product requirement documents (PRDs), user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with engineering, design, QA, and implementation teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage end-to-end product delivery from ideation to launch.
- Drive sprint planning, backlog prioritization, UAT, and release management.
- Ensure timely execution while balancing quality, scalability, and speed.
Partner & Client Engagement
- Engage with banks, NBFCs, insurers, and distribution partners to understand business challenges and requirements.
- Participate in product demonstrations, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution workshops.
- Act as the bridge between external stakeholders and internal product teams.
- Drive requirement discovery for large enterprise implementations.
Process Automation & Operational Excellence
- Design solutions for policy issuance, reconciliation, claims servicing, partner onboarding, reporting, and compliance workflows.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using technology and AI-driven solutions.
- Improve turnaround times, accuracy, and user experience across stakeholder journeys.
Data & Analytics
- Define product KPIs and success metrics.
- Monitor product adoption, usage trends, operational performance, and business outcomes.
- Use data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks and optimize product performance.
- Build and maintain dashboards to track key business metrics.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Business, Operations, Insurer Partnerships, Customer Success, Engineering, and Leadership teams.
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
- Support pre-sales and solutioning efforts for strategic opportunities.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or related fields.
- 3–5 years of product management experience.
- Should be AI native.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Good-to-Have
- Experience in Insurance, Bancassurance, Lending, Banking, FinTech, or SaaS products.
- Exposure to API-based platforms and enterprise software products.
- Familiarity with reconciliation systems, policy administration systems, CRM platforms, or workflow engines.
- Experience working on AI-enabled products and automation initiatives.
