About RAYY
RAYY is a booking marketplace for sports academies, fitness classes and kids' learning
activities, live in Gurugram and expanding to a second city. We are a small, fast-moving team
raising our first institutional round, and we are bringing engineering in-house now.
The role
You will be one of the first two engineers at RAYY, working directly with the CPTO. The product
is a Flutter customer app, a FastAPI backend on MongoDB, and Next.js dashboards for partners
and our own team, on AWS. You will work end to end across all of it rather than in one layer.
There is a full roadmap of customer-facing features shipping this quarter, a backlog to clear,
and releases to take over from our vendor; you will be building from day one and helping set
how we build as the team grows.
What you'll do
Own features from API to screen across Flutter, Python and TypeScript. Fix, refactor and extend
code you did not write. Ship to the Play Store and App Store and keep production healthy. Use
AI coding tools as a normal part of your work, and review what they produce with the same
care as your own. Write tests where they matter, especially anywhere money moves.
What we're looking for
Three to five years at a product company, with at least one consumer app shipped to real
users; payments or marketplace experience is a plus. Working ability in at least two of Flutter,
Python and TypeScript, and the willingness to work in all three. Familiarity with MongoDB, a
payment gateway such as Razorpay, and AWS basics. Comfort with small teams and
ambiguity: you would rather ship and learn than wait for a spec. Clear communication, since
you will talk to partners and the CEO, not only to engineers. Available to start on or around 1
October.
Nice to have
Experience at a food, fitness or booking marketplace. Prior work taking over a codebase from
an agency or vendor. Flutter release tooling or Next.js.
How we work
Five-day week, hybrid from our Gurugram office, with flexibility around business needs during
launches and our fundraise. Small PRs, fast reviews, outcomes over hours. You will be judged
on what ships and whether it stays up.
Compensation
Fixed salary, competitive for stage and experience.
Process
A short call with the CPTO, a two-hour take-home on our stack (use whatever tools you like; we
discuss the diff together), and a conversation with the CEO. The whole loop fits in five days,
and we can start you within a week of offer.
