JD for Chief Architect / Founding Product Engineer (Potential to pivot to CTO)
After successfully running job search advisory, The job workshop Dubai is building a career intelligence SaaS platform for one of the biggest problems in the job market: people keep applying, but they do not know why they are not getting hired.
We are not building another job board, resume template tool, or generic AI wrapper. We are building a feedback loop that helps professionals understand what is holding them back, what they need to improve, and how to take smarter action in their job search.
This is a 0-1 founding role for someone who can act as the *chief architect of the platform.* You will work directly with the founders to turn an ambitious product vision into a scalable, intelligent SaaS product.
You will help shape the product architecture, user experience, AI-enabled workflows, data models, APIs, and engineering standards from day one. This role requires someone who can think across product, technology, user behavior, and long-term scalability.
We are looking for someone strong in full-stack development, modern web applications, SaaS architecture, APIs, databases, authentication, cloud deployment, analytics, and AI-assisted product workflows.
Experience with React/Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js/Python, PostgreSQL, Supabase/Firebase, Vercel/AWS, browser extensions, workflow tools, or LLM-based products is a strong plus.
You should be able to execute with minimal supervision, enjoy ambiguity, move fast without creating chaos, and care deeply about building products that users can trust. This is not a role for someone who only wants to execute tickets. It is for someone who wants ownership, influence, and the opportunity to build the technical foundation of a category-defining product.
Ideal Background
You may be a senior full-stack engineer, founding engineer, product engineer, technical lead, or startup builder who has worked on SaaS platforms, AI products, workflow tools, marketplaces, HR tech, recruitment tech, or data-rich products.
This Is Not For You If
You prefer mature systems over zero-to-one building, need detailed tickets for every task, want to work only on frontend or only on backend, avoid architectural decisions, or are not excited by product thinking.
