Job details:
Product Engineer (Full-time / Internship) — Indoor Farming Hardware
Workplace: On-site · Ashokpuram, Kozhikode
Description
We build indoor farming hardware and modular living walls. Our first products are tested and working. This October they ship. We need an engineer to help get them there.
You will:
- Take a working prototype through its first production batch — assembly sequence, QC checkpoints, a build document someone else can follow
- Run test protocols on pumps, drippers, timers, and sensors. Find the failure, fix it, write it down
- Work through product certification so our units can be sold and installed
- Be in the workshop. This is hands-on and on-site
You are:
- A mechanical, electronics, mechatronics, production, or agri engineering graduate. Final-year students welcome for the intern track
- Someone who has built something physical that actually worked. A college project, a personal build, a repair. Show us the thing, not the certificate
- Comfortable with CAD, basic electronics, and reading a datasheet
- Ready to own an outcome. Small team, nobody manages your calendar
Two tracks:
Full-time — one to three years hands-on. You own a product line's production readiness.
Intern (six months) — paid, real work on shipping products, full-time offer if you deliver. No coffee runs.
Process: short call, a small paid task from our real backlog, then a conversation with the founder. Under two weeks start to finish. If it's a no, we tell you why.
Send your CV and one paragraph about something you built to founder@babylonia.ag
