TITLE: Product Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
Position Summary
Creating and developing innovative product designs and solutions while ensuring they meet technical and functional requirements.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and create initial concept designs for mechanical components, systems, or products based on project requirements and specifications.
- Use CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of parts and assemblies.
- Select appropriate materials considering strength, durability, cost, and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) activities with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production.
- Create prototypes and validate design concepts through testing and modifications.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Estimate costs related to materials, labor, and production processes.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues.
- Plan and oversee testing and validation activities to meet quality and performance requirements.
- Oversee trials and qualification of components and finished goods.
- Create part numbers and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned by management.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Automobile Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Design and Development within Automotive and Connector industries.
